The private driveway is professionally plowed, and the main road is maintained by the city to ensure access throughout the season. That said, winter conditions can change quickly in cottage country, and guests should be prepared for snow and ice, just as they would anywhere in Muskoka. Please note that the waterfront is private to the community, which ensures a peaceful and safe environment for your stay. For everyone’s safety, exterior security cameras are installed at the entrance and driveway. There are no cameras inside the home or in private spaces. Firewood for the outdoor firepit is not guaranteed, but can easily be purchased nearby. We kindly ask guests to respect quiet hours and the natural surroundings so everyone in the community can enjoy the Muskoka experience. Water Equipment & Outdoor Amenities Disclaimer Canoes, kayaks, and other water equipment are seasonal amenities (typically May 1 – October 1) and may be unavailable due to weather conditions, flooding, or maintenance. During periods of high water levels, certain areas such as the dock, shoreline, and fire pit may be partially or fully submerged and inaccessible. Use of any water equipment is at the guest’s own risk. Guests are responsible for ensuring safe usage at all times. While we may provide a limited number of life jackets, availability and sizing are not guaranteed, and we strongly recommend guests bring their own properly fitted life jackets. Last weekend (March 15–17), I planned a family trip to Huntsville, Muskoka, but our original Airbnb had an unplowed road and we got stuck around 10:30 PM with a 9-year-old—no help from the host, CAA, or tow trucks. We cancelled and were ready to head back to Mississauga. Thankfully, we found Kartika and Saran’s place 40 minutes away. Kartika responded instantly, took my call, and within minutes had everything arranged. The roads were plowed, the home was fully ready, and they even guided us step-by-step with any gadgets we couldn’t figure out. From that moment, the stay was flawless. My entire family loved it, and we had zero complaints. What started as a disaster turned into a memorable trip. Highly recommend them—I came as a guest and left as a friend.

Our stay at Kartika & Saran’s place was no less than a dream! It was surreal to be up north in the peak of winter and our entire family loved it! I had questions before reserving the place and decided to reach out to them. They responded almost instantly and answered all my questions and concerns! They went over and beyond with making this trip memorable for us! We received a text a day before with all the details, check-in info, wifi pwd, where to find what, it was super helpful! They had decorated the house with a beautiful Christmas tree! Honestly, everything was super neat and tidy! They were super accommodating! It truly felt like home. This was our family’s first trip, and Kartika & Saran made it such a memorable one! The house has such a stunning view especially in the day. We can’t wait to be back next year, this time in the Summer! 🖤
